Climbing Wall

The Glenwood Springs Parks & Recreation Department is proud to offer indoor climbing on a state of the art rock climbing structure. The wall offers top rope, auto-belay routes on a surface that simulates many features of actual rock, including multiple small crack climbs. The wall also has 20-30 bouldering problems for non-roped challenges. The wall will offer novice, intermediate and first time climbers attainable challenges and a great learning environment for climbing classes. The climbing wall was also built in such a manner as to challenge even the most proficient climbers. The wall has built-in "natural" routes that follow the contours of the rock ranging in difficulty from 5.10 to 5.14.  Sorry no leading, top rope only.  Belay certifications are available during any staffed times.  Private rentals and facilitated staffed group drop-ins are available. 

Staffed Hours: Please note the climbing wall may occasionally be closed during regularly staffed hours for clinics or climbing classes.

When the climbing wall is not staffed or being used for a climbing class, climbers who are belay certified may take advantage of  "bring your own gear" [BYOG] time.
