Archery Range

South Canyon Archery Range is a bow and arrow shooting range in South Canyon west of Glenwood Springs, CO.

Axtell Park

1102 Grand Ave 

This park is located in the heart of Glenwood Springs at 11th Street and Grand Avenue. This .5 acre park is good for parties of 50 people or less.  It features a playground, picnic tables a barbeque and rest rooms.

Centennial Park

828 Grand Ave 

This mini park is located right on the corner of Grand Avenue and 9th Street and is good for groups of 50 or less.  The park is the home of Rona's Garden and features picnic tables only.  There is no playground at this park. 


Glenwood Park

1500 Mount Sopris Drive

This park features barbeques, picnic tables, basketball court and soccer field. 

Glenwood Springs Whitewater Activity Area

2302 Midland Ave, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601


Constructed in 2008, it is the first ever man-made whitewater feature to stretch the full width of the Colorado River. This park features seating, picnic tables and water fountain.


Gregory Park

155 Center Drive

This mini park is located in West Glenwood Springs and is best for groups of 50 or less. This park features picnic tables, barbeque, picnic shelter, horseshoes and a playground.

Linwood Cemetery  aka Pioneer Cemetery

1310 Bennett Ave, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601


Trailhead leads to a historic cemetery that is notable for being the site of Doc Holliday’s and Kid Curry’s graves. Further list of names available at the Frontier Historical Museum (970) 945-4448 or City of Glenwood Spring (970) 384-6352.

O’Leary Park

Located along the River Trail and Roaring Fork River in Glenwood Springs, CO. Just on the south side of the River Trail Dog Park. This park features a shelter and picnic table.   

Oasis Park

Located in N. Traver Trail.


This a pocket park that features a playground and picnic table.

Park East aka Conservancy Park

4108 Sky Ranch Drive 

A mini park good for groups of 50 or less.  This is one of Glenwood’s newer parks along the Roaring Fork River.  It has a small gazebo and trail access.

River Trail Dog Park


Located along the River Trail in Glenwood Springs, behind Safeway.


Rodeo Grounds

380 County Rd. 116

This site of the former rodeo grounds has a usable area for events such as a circus measuring 315 feet long x 135 feet wide. The shelter structure is 100 feet long x 25 feet deep, but will not have bleachers. The parking lot is roughly 300 feet long x 200 feet wide. The arena has lights some electricity available and a small volume of treated City water.


Rosebud Cemetery

List of names is located on the south side of the cemetery outbuilding.

Sayre Park aka Strawberry Park

1702 Grand Ave.

This 7.6 acre park is located in the center of Glenwood Springs and features a variety of amenities including basketball court, baseball field, sand volleyball, 2 tennis courts, playground, horseshoes, 2 picnic shelters, lighted gazebo, barbeques, picnic tables and restrooms.

Sister Lucy Downey Park

51183 Hwy 6 & 24 

This park is located in West Glenwood Springs and only features picnic tables.  It is good for groups of 50 people or less.  There is no playground at this park.

Sopris Park

1150 Mount Sopris Drive

This is Glenwood’s newest ball park located next to Sopris Elementary School in South Glenwood.  This park features picnic tables, baseball fields and a soccer field.

Brush Creek Lane Pocket Park aka Three Mile Park aka Tot lot

This park has a small picnic area only.  There is no play structure at this park. 

Two Rivers Park

740 Devereux Rd.

Our largest developed park located at the confluence of the Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers. This 22 acre park has river access and plenty of parking. The Glenwood Skate Park is also located in the Two Rivers Park features a variety of ramps. The park also includes restrooms, lighted fields, picnic areas, two park shelters with barbeques, playground and horseshoe pits. Two Rivers Park is also home to a variety of concerts at the large outdoor amphitheater.


Veltus Park

901 Midland Ave

Located at the corner of Midland Avenue and 8th Street along the Roaring Fork River, this 8-acre park, also called Kiwanis Park, has three picnic shelters, two with electric outlets. The park has two sets of restrooms, picnic tables, volleyball court, barbeque pits and a playground. Park amenities include tennis and basketball courts, horseshoe pits and a wheelchair-accessible fishing ramp.


News & Happenings

The Community Center will be having periodic closures over the next few months in order to complete some much needed maintenance projects. Here is what to expect coming up…

During the month of October, parts of our Aquatic Center will be intermittently under construction. Once finished, guests can expect a smooth floor in the Activity pool and a clean and slip-resistant deck all around.
