Climbing Wall

The Glenwood Springs Parks & Recreation Department is proud to offer indoor climbing on a state of the art rock climbing structure. The wall can accommodate up to four climbers on roped routes simultaneously. The wall also has 20-30 bouldering problems for non-roped challenges. The wall will offer novice, intermediate and first time climbers attainable challenges and a great learning environment for climbing classes. The climbing wall was also built in such a manner as to challenge even the most proficient climbers. The wall has built-in routes that follow the natural contours of the rock ranging in difficulty from 5.10 to 5.14.

Wall Hours

The wall is open for public use on a daily basis for belay certified climbers who have paid the appropriate fees and have the appropriate personal climbing gear. The wall will open during regular Community Center hours and will close 30 minutes before the posted Community Center closing time. Classes may pre-empt open climbing hours.
