Gear Library

Outdoor recreation should be inclusive, accessible, and enjoyed by all. It is essential for well-being, mental, and physical health and a sense of community. The Glenwood Springs Gear Library offers low-cost rental equipment to make outdoor recreation opportunities a possibility for everyone. Our Gear Library has a variety of outdoor gear for hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, scenic mountain viewing, and more!

How to Reserve

Gear reservations for day-use items can be made through our online registration portal or at the Community Center front desk a minimum of 24 hours in advance. All reservations must be paid in full at the time of registration and a valid credit card on file.

For camping and backpacking sets and multiday rentals, gear reservations can be made by emailing glenwoodrec@cogs.us with your request details. Our Gear Library experts will help you assemble the necessary gear and arrange pick up and drop off dates for your next outdoor adventure.

Pick Up and Drop Off

Day-use items will be will be available for pick up at the Community Center front desk the day of your reservation and must be returned by close of business the same day unless a multiday rental has been arranged.

Sets reserved by emailing glenwoodrec@cogs.us, will arrange pick up and drop off specifics during the reservation process.
