PARKS, TRAILS & OPEN SPACES DEPARTMENT
The Parks department consists of four primary teams that work cohesively to care for our public spaces.
Parks employees are responsible for maintaining parks and public spaces outside of the downtown core. They prepare fields for athletics, keep our parks beautiful, and provide a variety of other services through out the year.
The Trails & Open Space team cares for paved and unpaved trails around the entire city, and are always working to build out new trail systems as our city grows.
The Downtown crew maintains our business and tourism district by keeping it clean, decorating as needed for holidays, and providing a welcoming ambiance for guests and locals alike.
The Gardens & Forestry staff members take care of all garden beds and trees on city owned properties and parks across the city.
We feel that providing outdoor programs and services are essential to the health and wellbeing of our community, and take our role in providing these services seriously.
We value catering to residents and visitors who desire living an active lifestyle.
The Parks Department strives to be a visionary organization that empowers its employees and visitors to embrace socioeconomic and environmental stewardship.
Our team is constantly striving to improve connectivity, wayfinding, and communication with residents and visitors about the outdoor activities that are available to them.
