Meet the Instructors
Natalie Squillante
Natalie Squillante is a ceramicist, painter, teacher, and healer with seventeen years of experience practicing Reiki and teaching in the arts. She received her BFA from Maine College of Art in 2011 where she studied Ceramics and K-12 Art Education. Natalie has taught in back yards, living rooms, beaches, farms, schools, community spaces, non-profits, museums, and studios. Her teaching style and philosophy incorporate creative play, community and skill building, community-based arts projects, one-on-one instruction, and healing through the act of creating. Her priority is to help others feel good and figure something out while making or appreciating art. Natalie also has a passion for wood firing, skiing, biking and skateboarding.
Natalie Squillante
Natalie Squillante es una ceramista, pintora, maestra y sanadora con diecisiete años de experiencia practicando Reiki y enseñando en las artes. Maureen Biermann
Maureen Biermann is committed to creating theatre that helps us see old things in new ways. She has a Bachelor's degree in Theatre from Northwestern University and a Master's degree in Geography from Penn State University. The core of her artistic interests is uniting a creative approach to understanding and addressing social differences. Maureen worked professionally for many years as an actor, director, and playwright in southeast Michigan, where she co-founded BoxFest, an annual theatre festival showcasing women directors. More recently, Maureen's short play, Something to Read at the End of the World, was selected for a post-show reading at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts Off-Center production of Bite Size: an Evening of Microtheater and was subsequently published in Bite Size: A Denver Center for the Performing Arts Off-Center Anthology of Micro Plays by Colorado Playwrights.
Maureen Biermann
Maureen Biermann está comprometida con la creación de un teatro que nos ayude a ver las cosas viejas de forma nueva. Brian Weller
Born in Salt Lake City in 1985, this 80’s baby has arts and crafts flowing through his veins!
Brian began his art education and career with lifelong friend and mentor Bruce Manchee learning all the tricks of the trade to become a master cartoonist and artisan of the industry. He has been art educating for over 15 years, teaching classes to the public, including instructing at Colorado Mesa University and Western Colorado Community College. He created a small business and has worked for many companies as a professional artist such as the Walt Disney Corporation, major theme parks and haunted attractions across the country.
Brian is also a trained and Special Makeup Effects artist and Cosmetic Beauty professional, working on TV, Film, and other Entertainment productions. He is also into Cosplay and costume design and creation. Brian’s personality is fun and wacky, and his toons are goofy and zany. But don’t let that fool you, he can make you into a gruesome filled monster or zombie too!
Brian Weller
Nacido en Salt Lake City en 1985, este bebé de los 80’s lleva el arte y la artesanía corriendo por sus venas.

Sam Mizwicki
Sam Mizwicki has been teaching art to all ages for fifteen years. She has a degree in Art Education with Colorado licensure and currently teaches K-8 Art in Eagle County and grades 6-12 virtually. Sam’s small business, Small+Mighty Handmade, was officially born in 2019 with an emphasis on the block printing technique and Art Education. She loves sharing her “happy place” with all who appreciate the beauty in handmade!
Sam Mizwicki
Sam Mizwicki lleva quince años enseñando arte a todas las edades. Tiene un título en Educación Artística con licencia de Colorado y actualmente enseña Arte K-8 en el Condado de Eagle y los grados 6 a 12 virtualmente. Annie Henninger
Annie is the Art Supervisor for the City of Glenwood Springs. She loves looking at art, drawing, painting, photography, and sharing her love of art with others.
Annie has worked and taught at many art organizations and schools across Colorado, such as the Telluride Academy, The Ah Haa School for the Arts, Alpine Elementary I.B. World School, and the Aspen Art Museum. She hopes to leave the world a better place through her teaching and by helping folks to tap into the power of art and their own creativity.
When Annie isn’t at work or in the classroom, she enjoys relaxing in her own backyard, gravel biking, or camping with her partner Keith and dog, Banjo. In the cooler months, she enjoys snowboarding with friends and drawing with the Roaring Fork Drawing Club on Tuesday evenings.

Rachel Peabody
Rachel teaches wheel throwing and hand building to all ages at the Glenwood Art Center. Open Studio is her preferred format where she can share her experiences with other potters while they explore and improve their own skills.
Having been a member of The Boyne Arts Collective, Toledo Potters Guild, and Crooked Tree Art Center, most of her work includes functional ware and household items such as cups, plates, lidded jars and farm table bowls.
She has been a part time resident of Glenwood Springs since 1976 and she also keeps a home studio in Northern Michigan where she likes to spend the summer months. When she’s not in the studio, she can be found taking a few turns at Ski Sunlight, soaking in the Hot Springs pool, gardening at home or rockhounding in the hills.
Rachel Peabody
Rachel enseña el uso del torno y la creación manual para todas las edades en el Centro de Arte de Glenwood. El estudio abierto es su formato preferido donde puede compartir sus experiencias con otros alfareros mientras exploran y mejoran sus propias habilidades.

Ms. Liz (Elizabeth A. Waters)
Ms. Liz’s love of art and skiing brought her to the mountains 21 years ago. She began teaching art at Aspen High School in 2000 and spent the next 14 years teaching high school art full-time in four surrounding mountain towns. Summers were spent teaching art camps in art centers from Aspen to Glenwood. Ms. Liz also operates her own business, ArtonaKart, delivering art camps, classes, parties, and events to schools, art centers, private homes, and businesses from Aspen to Meeker. Ms. Liz has over 22 years of teaching experience, an MS in Art Education, BA in Studio Art, and Associates in Graphic Arts.

El amor de la Sra. Liz por el arte y el esquí la llevó a las montañas hace 21 años.
